Remote Access feature not working for NAS

Server Version#: 11405470
Player Version#: 3.69.1

I have a WD My Cloud PR4100 NAS and I’m trying to enable the Remote Access feature on Plex so I can watch movies outside my house.
I have followed various troubleshooting articles on the Plex website but none of them solved my problem. I activated Port Forwarding on Plex, on the NAS and on my router for the 32400 port but it still does not work properly. Now Plex tells me that it works but does not find the IP addresses and ports (see attached image).

Please someone help me !! I’ve been trying to solve this problem all day.

You should only need to set a forward on the router but any case in my experience enabling upnp in the router and letting plex sord it out works the best.

I am curious what forward you have set in plex and the nas itself ?.

If you do want to go manual then you should tick the Manually specify port to on and set it to 32400 since when set to automatic there is no guarantee it wil select 32400

Hi,
I set port forwarding only on my router and I tried to enable UPnP IGD from the router to see if anything changed. Now on Plex for a second it manages to establish the connection and then it stops immediately (see attached zip file please).

Ok shot in the dark here are you with isp ziggo ?

And if so please check if firewall is enabled and show a screen of the advanced and all the rules if need be via pm. This looks like an issue i have with my modem (ziggo) the new connectbox ■■■■ piece.

If firewall is disabled none of the rules or upnp wil work.

No my isp is not Ziggo.
Here are screenshots of my router settings.

Even if I try to disable firewall settings like DoS it won’t work.

I see that that wan port (external) and lan port (internal) are different you only do this when you want to re map a port. (I assume you though it can’t be the same ? )
Zo unless you are doing something special (do tell  )then set both ports to 32400 and tick the manual box in plex and fill in 32400 save and reboot everything.
Make sure there is no routing device between the nas and the router (ea wifi repeater other type of forwarding ■■■■).
Check if the port is actually open:

If that still does not work:
Reset modem to default and readd the port forward.

Also i noticed:

I am terribly confused by that since port forward you do on the router so no clue why it says to set the port on the nas as wel it could be that it functions as a firewall in that case port 32400 should be open there as wel always 32400 not 32401. But its better if you completely turn this off if possible.

Test again with url if port is still not open its definitely router/modem/firewall somewhere and can’t help you with that without actual looking at your whole LAN setup witch is a bit out of scope here.
