im very to to all this and ive paid for the lifetime pass. i have everything for plex set up for inside my home and working great but ive been trying endlessly to get remote access to work. i went throught the troubleshooting with no luck. when i refresh remote access it says Fully accessible outside your network for about 2 seconds then switches back to Not available outside your network. it does the same thing when i turn on Manually specify public port. at first i thought it was being blocked but i turned off my firewall to test it and still the same thing.
That’s just how the status check works. It’ll display things are working until the check is completed… with things switching back after a few seconds (up to a few minutes), that means your remote access setup isn’t working to begin with.
Which troubleshooting steps did you already do, and with what specific output? Can you see / access the specified public port from your router’s port forward from outside your home network (e.g. using a service like canyouseeme.org)? Does the public IP recognized by that service match with that listed in your Plex Media Server‘s remote access settings, and the WAN IP of your router?
i got it figured out thank you very much i had to get on my internet website i got my porting all set up and then i turned on the upnp and that worked!
