Hello everyone, I have a WD MyCloud EX2 Ultra 8TB edition NAS drive. I got it specifically for use with Plex and to stream my videos locally and remotely. The drive itself is working fine, no issues. But the Plex server is where my issues lie.
Unfortunately, no matter what I have tried I can’t tie into my Plex server remotely with my app. Both the server and my app are on the latest versions. When I go to the server settings, it gives me an error saying that I cannot access my server outside the home. I have restarted both the drive and the router, manually forwarded ports on both the drive and the router itself, and I have even gone as far as enabling DMZ for my drive and disabling my network firewall altogether just to see if that would fix it, it did not. renabled the firewall.
So at this point I am at a total loss as to what I can do to fix this issue. I think the Plex server app is insanely buggy on WD NAS drives, half of my TV show episodes won’t even index, they have a lot to work on I feel.
I have a G1100 Verizon FiOS Gateway router as the main DHCP server, running with the latest firmware. No matter what I try, It won’t give me remote access to my Plex.
