I have been struggling with getting remote access to work on my plex server mainly due to port forward/firewall issues. Now I can’t seem to access the server from inside of my network as well so I may be missing something on that side.
However, the external issue is the more pertinent issue as I wish to be able to use it outside of the house.
My current network setup is this:
2wire modem/gateway (ATT)
I have setup a portforwarding for TCP/UDP ports 32400 to my Server
Mikrotik Router (I believe this to be my problem child)
* I’m still learning how to program the firewalls on this router
Windows 10 Computer
* I have created a static IP address for this one (Example 172.16.0.10
On the server mapping page, it shows connection from ATT Gateway to Mikrotik. However from Internet to ATT I have no access.

Any help?
are you using upnp ?
did you select port 32400 manually in the plex web interface ?
I know this is necroing an old thread, but I did finally figure out a solution to this and since this is the top returned result in Google figure I should post what worked here. I found the answer in this thread:
This fixed two issues for me. The second rule fixed Plex, and the first fixed Gamestream.
Note that since the rules directly references your external IP, you may have to manually go back and adjust these if your ISP doesn’t give you a static IP.
