Remote access Issues

Server Version#: 1.14.0.5470
Player Version#: web client 3.79.0

Im having an issue getting the plex server avalible over the internet.

I have forwarded the 32400 port
I have ensured the manual port is set in the Remote access page of the server

Since those settings have been saved, both that router and the server machine have been restarted.

yet there is still not connection from outside my home :

can any one help me get this worked out?

honestly im very tech savvy, yet not very good when it comes to advanced networking IE: port forwarding and the like.

thank you in advance

Bumping this in hopes to get it resolved

2 questions:

  1. what happens when you click Enable Remote Access? Sometimes remote devices can connect despite the settings telling you otherwise…
  2. can you access the port from the outside? – you can e.g. test this using an online service such as canyouseeme.org or ping your public IP and that port from a remote computer

I’ve been having the same problem. Sometimes it works but most the time it doesn’t. I’ve port forwarded, DMZd, and everything else I can think of. http://canyouseeme.org/ reports my IP/port is available. I’m out of ideas. Also running 1.14.0.5470 on an Ubuntu server.

When I click enable remote access the page refreshes and it ends up the same as the image above.
For a split second it all turns green. saying its connected, but it refreshes again to disconnected state.
I have tried numerous times to connect externally to this server to no avail.
Internally the server works fine I have tried dmz.
Didnt work.

I will port check when i can and edit this post

EDIT::: canyouseeme gave me a Success note, that my external IP with the port 32400 is open, yet i cant connect to it externally

I’m having the exact same issue on my MAC. Just realized PLEX hadn’t been updating so I updated and ran into this issue.

so after updating the server to 1.14.1.5488 the problem seems to resolve itself

its working currently

I updated, it started working then stopped after a few hours.
