Hello, I woke up this morning and my servers remote access no longer worked. I have port forwarding setup on my router and it’s been working for years. If I input my public IP with the port it works in a browser, however using an app on android, roku, or just browsing app.plex.tv outside the network it doesn’t find it. If I hit Retry next to manually specify public port it says it’s connected but no device can fid it then it loses the connection a couple min later. I’ve attached my logs hopefully that will be helpful.
So I’ve also rolled back to 4.34.3 which I was running with 0 issues and I am still unable to maintain a remote access connection. This leads me to believe there is something up with the service beyond my network. I have attached more logs. Hopefully something will be helpful. A bit of extra info. I’ve been using my phone on the LTE network to test the remote access. For whatever reason after rolling back and then upgrading back to the latest version I’ve been able to brows the library even though the server says remote access isn’t available. When I try to play something the error it gives me is “An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again.” When this happens there’s a spike in remote bandwidth on the server. If I leave the error up the remote bandwidth spikes up and down pretty regularly until I hit OK and clear the error.
Update for anyone who finds this. I backed up my server settings and blew away the profile I had the plex server running on. Upon re-installing on a new profile, and restoring the backup I have remote access again.
