Not sure if it’s my end or not, but what had been a zero problem remote access situation using the standard (non-manual) plex remote access capability has, this last week, started turning itself off. I go in, see it’s off, do a retry, it comes back, and a day later I check, it’s off and I do a retry and it comes back… Checking around to see if it’s on the Plex end or not. It’s a windows 10 pro setup that only runs Plex. Verizon FIOS, cat 6, G1000 verizon router. Trying to see if it’s a known or acknowledged issue before messing with the network etc.
Port forwarding is way more reliable than UPNP remote access.
I would suggest you just setup port forwarding and your issue should go away.
I had this same problem after making sure ports and everything was configured properly after all it worked before. My resolution was to restart my gateway as well as reboot my router.
