Remote Access not allowed?

I concur with Nokdim, let’s break these all out to their respective individual threads.

It will make the dialog easier to follow and the solutions more clear cut.

JA-Motter has been fixed, I just walked him through it over the phone and he’s up and running…

Yes, I am now operational . . . thanks to over-and-above the call of duty support from Jason.

What a great guy he is. Thanks to all PLEX experts for your continuing support with this extraordinary tool.

Thats great!

We are still trouble shooting my situation on the other thread. Hope to get back up and running again.

I can make a new thread if it’s required, but I was attempting to not clutter up the forum with another thread that seemed to be the same problem outlined by JA-Motter. I was hoping that multiple people having the same issue and trying different things, might result in hammering down a fix for everyone involved.

My solution, which isn’t going to work for anyone using cable modems is;

  1. Netgate PfSense box - with ISP VDSL bonded modem in transparent bypass mode.
  2. PfSense does PPPoE authentication to the ISP
  3. PfSense does the routing (NAT from WAN <-> LAN)
  4. PfSense does the stateful firewall
  5. PfSense does the all-required UPNP quite flawlessly.

Maybe this is the approach?

  1. Modem as a modem (unless telephone service comes through it and is required -OR- that specific modem is required by the ISP.
  2. Good (not cheap) router to handle the UPnP, Stateful Firewall, and NAT.

See below for setup with Google Nest Wifi and Google Fiber box.
