Remote Access not available outside your network, HELP!

I am trying to enable remote access for my server. I tried the automatic method through plex however this did not work. I have now tried the manual port through my router with a static ip address and canyouseeme shows a successful port opened to go through. When I add this manually specified port (ticked in advanced settings) to the settings on the remote access page it will enable for a couple of seconds and then show this:
Not available outside your network
Your server is signed in to Plex, but is not reachable from outside your network.

I have tried rebooting my modem, checking the firewalls and double checking I do not have a double NAT connection or Jumbo Frames.

Does anyone have any advice/what info do you need?

If canyouseeme shows the port is open, then the remote access is working.
The status display in Plex is broken. It only changes the dispaly of the true status after quite a while.

Try restarting Plex server and then just let it sit.
You can test remote access with a mobile device on cellular data or ‘foreign’ wifi .
