Remote Access Not Available Suddenly without Bridge Mode

Server Version#: Current
Player Version#: Current across multiple devices

I recently upgraded my Xfinity service to 1gig speed, and came with the XFi router/modem upgrade which I decided to go with since it came with unlimited date included at no extra cost, which I was previously paying for. Not that any of that particularly matters…

In any event, suddenly my Remote Access is Not Available Outside My Network, it’s always red. I’m still able to have a handful of users viewing/streaming content, though. It works on my iPhone outside of my network, won’t work on Apple TV or Roku.

I’ve been able to get the remote connection to work and come back on, but only by setting my Modem into Bridge mode, which then eliminates the Wi-Fi capability of the router/modem. I really am trying to avoid going and spending $2-300 on a good router just to keep wifi in my home. I tried to plug in an old Airport I have, and for whatever reason the wifi through that was providing no Network Connection, it really wasn’t the setup I wanted anyways using a separate router so I abandoned that plan.

My Port is forwarded and all that good stuff. UPnP is on. I’ve had this server running - with Xfinity service - in my home for 5+ years now. All of the sudden, this starts up. Help!!

Well, thus far seems as if it was an issue on Xfinity’s end with finalizing the setup of the modem. They did some wizardry on their end sending signals and - for now - she’s normal.

Doesn’t seem like what they did should’ve fixed it, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
