Remote Access not working after latest update

As the title says, I can’t access Plex outside of my home network. I just noticed today but I updated the server on my PC, and the server on my Synology DS218+ both on Sunday. I accessed my Synology server remotely over the weekend but haven’t changed anything besides updating.

I am having the exact same issue, and it started immediately after I updated to 1.15.4.994 (was working fine right up to the update). I followed the troubleshooting on this thread:

did all the suggestions, even set up port forwarding, which i’ve never needed before and when i ‘retry’ it’ll turn green for about 3 seconds then revert back to the red no remote access. Seems to be an issue for both PC & Linux users :frowning:

ok so this is super weird but i got mine fixed by completely turning off my firewall (i had rules specific for Plex) re-running the remote connect, PLEX picked a pretty low numbered port (like in the 10000 range) but connected and i added that port to my firewall rules, went to the canyouseeme.org site to test and viola it’s working now. With the firewall completely off canyouseeme.org could not see any of my ports from 32400 on up. This is just the weirdest darn thing, maybe the ISP coincidentally decided to block the 32400 and up at the same time as the upgrade or something, or maybe the update triggered some kind of refresh and the ‘grandfathered in’ port was killed? all speculation, Spectrum is pretty shady as it is. I hope this will work for you too.

Exactly same issue here.
New to Plex on Synology. Seems like both uPNP port forwarding and manual port forwarding not work.
I can confirm actually on router the port forwarding is correct.
But on PMS, when click retry button, the green status only last couple seconds then turn to No remote access.

My bad, I forgot to allow TCP 32400 on Synology DSM firewall, only did the router NAT part.
Working fine now.

so I solved mine by doing a couple things:

I deleted and re-added the port forwarding rules on my router.
I realized that my desktop server wasn’t set up for remote access (since I stream from my Synology) so I added a rule for port 32401 for my PC, 32400 for my Synology

This fixed my PC remote access. I turned off/on remote access for my Synology in the Plex settings which didn’t work. But then I unchecked the manually specify port box and it’s been fine ever since.

Edit: as I typed this, I decided to check my phone for remote access and now both say offline… so nevermind the above

i have this exact same problem. nothing changed on my network and now i only get indirect. going to rebuild my port forwarding and test.
