Remote access not working

Hello

I’ve given up trying to figure this out on my own so hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I had remote access working fine for a few days but now it doesn’t seem to want to work at all. I’ve forwarded the correct port and I’ve tested the port using “https://canyouseeme.org/” which confirms the port can be seen.

Here’s a screenshot showing my port forward settings in the virgin media hub:

Next screenshot shows remote access, as it usually appears right now.

If I click “retry” it will make a successful connection (https://imgur.com/FfrlA0N), however after a few seconds and refreshing the page, it goes back to the not working status again.
The public port is set to 50000.

Anyone have any idea what the problem might be? Hopefully I’ve just been stupid and overlooked something obvious lol.
Cheers.

Your router has automatically, via UPnP, created a port forward for external port 50000 (TCP) to internal port 32400 (TCP):

This is likely interfering with your mostly correct, manual port forwarding configuration; I say “mostly correct” because your manual rule only needs to forward TCP, not both.

You could try disabling UPnP on your router and use only manual port forwarding; however, this could break other things on your network which rely upon UPnP.

You could also move Plex to a different external port.

OK I thought I’d try disabling my manual port forwarding first and so far that seems to be holding up. I’ll keep an eye on it and see if there are any further issues.

Remote access definitely isn’t working as I’ve had others test it. I’ve entered an upload speed based on my results from speedtest.net as well.

Thanks for your help guys, fingers crossed!

Nevermind, that did not work after all… just gave me false positives for longer. I checked on my phone via 4g to confirm it wasn’t connecting.
However I followed your advice philipsw and disabled UPnP and that appears to be working better. Will post back again if I encounter further issues.
