Remote access not working

Server Version#: 1.18.5.2309-f5213a238
Player Version#: ?
Synology NAS DS220+

Issues with remote access not quite working. If I click retry on the network settings it will say its working for a few seconds then revert to “not available outside your network.” The private has a green arrow but public ends up with a red “X” by the internet side.
-I’m able to see it through canyouseeme via ports.
-There were zero changes that should have impacted why this happened and is no longer remotely accessible.
-I’ve attempted updating router firmware/rebooting, changing ports and forwarding them, disabling/reenabling UPNP, disabling remote access and re-enabling, stop the media server and re-running it, disabling SIP ALG on the router.

So far nothing has resolved it. I’ve attached a recent log I just took.

forgot to attach logs on first post.

Your logs confirm that PMS is conducting the Remote Access test but Plex.tv cannot connect back to you.

Notice the WAN port is 14205 … which should be port-forwarded to port 32400 of your machine.

Is this a manual port forwarding or UPNP ?

I’ve tried both port forwarding and UPNP. I think right now it’s a combination of both at the same time, following my bewilderment I threw them both at it haha

Oh no… You can’t do both. The modem router will go all kinds of stupid.

Pick one.

I choose 100% manual. I then know what goes where .
I’m not subject to “Plug & Pray” rules (because it doesn’t always work)

Yes I know, I cringed too when I realized how I left it. So its set to manual now, sending another log. Having the same issue still.

Are you using the Synology Firewall ?

For most of us. with our NAS safe behind our modem/router’s firewall, we turn it off.

If the DSM firewall is on (Control Panel - Security)

You need to ALLOW custom port 32400/tcp .

DSM firewall is off.

Can you log into your modem/router ?

If you can, poke around and find the Internet / WAN IP address

Now. open whatsmyip.org

The IP address you see should be the same for both

lastly go to ‘canyouseeme.org’ to test if they agree the port is open.

WAN IP matches in router, whatsmyip, and plex.
canyouseeme verified the port is open.

@jes6750

I will send you a PM.

In that PM, please show me a screenshot of your Remote Access settings

By definition, it should be working just fine.
