I have been trying all the methods listed in the help guides without success. Remote access used to work but it has been problematic for some time now. I have tried the port forwarding steps.
Does the public ip seen by canyouseeme.org match the router’s WAN IP and that seen in your server’s remote access settings?
If it’s the same, your ISP might be blocking your chosen public port. It’s worth retesting with some random other ports in the range between 20000 and 50000.
If the IPs don’t match your ISP could have put you into a CGNAT setup to avoid getting publicly routable IP addresses to their customers. You could ask them for an exception (getting a publicly routable IP)… some ISPs will offer such an option (usually in the form of selling you a static public IP).
In both cases, you might probably end up talking to your ISP.
ISP provider removed CGNAT and now able to see port. It seems to be working now with the exceptioin of when I go to link https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/. It does not see my plex server But when i go thru actual app on external network it does see my plex server.
