I recently set up my new Synology DS920+ and installed PMS to run on it. Ever since, it runs only a few seconds to minutes and remote access is shown as not available. I have port 32400 manually set and I have 32400 port forwarded on my router (it was working fine with my old desktop server). So, I have been battling this few a couple of days now until I notice one of my remote clients was watching a video, but Remote Access was still shown as not available. I had another client try and he was able to connect, too.
So, what would make PMS show remote access as unavailable yet still allow remote access? I’m really stumped.
I’m running into the exact same scenario and even created a separate topic post for it just now. Wish I had seen this in my original search as it would have saved me a few hours of racking my brain!
One thing that throws me is when I run canyouseeme.org. Shouldn’t it show port 32400 open? Since my PMS is on my Synology NAS, I installed Firefox on it so I could run canyouseeme.org from the NAS and it still doesn’t show port 32400 open.
