Remote Access Problem

Server Version#: 1.13.8.5395-10d48da0d
Player Version#:

I have a problem with trying to gain access outside of my home for my Plex Server. I thought that I had everything set up right, but I guess that this was not the case. In the past, I was using a router and a modem so I had a double NAT. Since then I have stopped using the router and am now hooked directly to my modem via a cable.

In my modem, I set up my port forward to my computer which is housing my Plex Server, in the past, this was enough to get my Plex Server working for remote access. Now I get a green light from my remote access but I still cannot access my Plex Server outside of my network. The green light from the remote access page turns red right after I click apply, but then it goes back to green. What I know for sure is that even though it is a green light I do not have access outside my network for my Plex Server. I am not sure what I can do or what I did wrong.

For my antivirus and malware, I have Kaspersky Internet Security and Malwarebytes. I have made acceptions for Plex so that they can go freely through the firewall from Kaspersky but I don’t know what to do after this. Malwarebytes does not have a firewall that I know of that would be blocking Plex.

On the website, Canyouseeme.org I put in the port for the remote access and it does indeed say that it can see that the port is opened yet in the Plex Server interface I have a red light right after it turns green indicating that I do not, in fact, have remote access outside of my network.

Trust canyouseeme.org
Disregard the status within the Plex settings.
Just restart Plex server and let it sit for a few hours.
Go outside your home network and test remote access.
