Port forwarding is clearly working, I can get to the plex website and it plays video. But the remote access setting reports it as down.
If I “retry” it goes green for a second, then back to red.
Very frustrating this does not work as I am a paying customer.
how is your port forwarding set up?
I’m using a static port forward to the server IP on port 32400. This is also set in PMS.
No double NATs ect.
As I said, plex.domain.com:32400 works fast, plays media fast.
Can you tell me all you port forward settings instead of part of it.
For example what protocol are you using. Many folks select to use TCP&UDP for example but only TCP is needed. Enabling “both” can cause issues
Ok Ive set it to TCP, from both and it made no change after retying. It went green for a little longer in PMS. But still went red.
Other then TCP/UDP what other settings are there?
External port and internal port are both set to 32400?

That should be it but there are a billion routers out there all with slightly different ways to set thing up. mind taking a screenshot of settings?
Ive just been going though the logs as well. I can find a lot of this kinda stuff. But nothing that says its error-ed out?

yeah that is about as straight forward as you can get. If you are using a custom URL have you entered that in network settings?
Should there not be a more verbose error in the logs as to why it cant connect?
I’m not using a custom URL to access, just launch from the webpage. I’m mostly using this though the Alexa skill, which does not work.
you can turn on verbose logging on your server but generally that stuff is very repetitive minor stuff and not useful. ( do make sure debug logging is on)

I’m surprised that something so important has such bad logging?
Anyway, what can I look for to get this fixed?
