Remote Access says "Not available outside your network", but kind of is... ?!?!

Server Version#: 1.18.3.2129
Player Version#: 4.12.3

After running for 5 or 6 years without issue, remote access stopped working on Saturday after upgrade to 1.18.3.2129. On Saturday I couldn’t access it at all remotely. When I looked at the settings it says “Not available outside your network”. The server itself is running OK and I can watch content on the local network no problem.
Today, even though it still says “Not available outside your network”, on some player types (like Android) I can see the server outside my network and it plays fine, but other player types (like Samsung TV) it says my server is inaccessible.

CanYouSeeMe.org says it can see me fine.

Any ideas what’s going on?

Same thing is happening to me,

after updating the PMS to the latest version, my external clientsstarted having trouble connecting to the server.

I logged in to check if the server was up, but suddenly in the settings I notice the red alert icon on “Remote Access”, and even though I have the server with a static IP and port 32400, it still says the server is not reachable from outside my Local Network.

I didn’t change anything on my network, I checked and I still have the port forwarding rules working, so it must be the update

Yup, pretty much exactly the same as me. You’ll probably find that like me, “some” players can see you despite it saying remote access isn’t working.

I think I might have found the source of the problem, my reported external IP inside plex was not matching with the ip reported by canyouseeme.org so, I looked up the IP Plex was reporting and it turned out to be something related with getflix, I overwrote the DNS inside the machine running the server so it doesn’t use GETFLIX DNS, since my whole network uses them by default, and suddenly it started working…

Then I found this post, with people reporting the same behavior:
https://forums.plex.tv/t/issues-with-remote-access-incorrect-public-ip-address/503122/7

Supposedly, GETFLIX might be trying to make plex think the server location is different so it shows another region movies in the newly released movie streaming service…

Changing the DNS of the machine on which Plex Server is running to did the trick for me.

Ahhh yes, I use Getflix too!! That will be the problem! Thanks.
