Hello forums! I’ve only ever used my Plex server on my home network and am now trying to set up my remote access for a watch party at a friend’s house, but am running into difficulty enabling the feature. I’ve gone through the troubleshooting, but I’m a bit out of my depth on these issues. I looked up my router manual (it’s an Arris BGW210, provided by AT&T my isp) and can’t find any mention of it supporting the “UPnP” or “NAT-PMP” feature, so maybe that’s the issue? Figured I should ask here first. I’ll also include a screengrab of the remote access page, just in case. Thanks for the help

Let’s just try to start with configuring a manual port forward on the Arris router.
The public port doesn’t have to be 32400 – just make sure to let Plex know whatever public port you’re using.

If it’s not working, there’s a detailed guide on how to troubleshoot remote access issues.

Thanks for the response. I try the manual specifying and it will switch on to green for just a moment before going red again. I made sure that my vpn was turned off.

Check out the troubleshooting guide.
If you need help, we’ll need to know the actual output of the different steps (beyond it not working) – e.g., can you see the router’s WAN IP and the specified public port from outside your home network (e.g. using a service like canyouseeme.org), and does the WAN IP of your router match that seen from the outside + the one listed in the Plex remote access settings?
