Hi! Thought I’d ask about remote access and the relay. I can’t seem to connect remotely from my phone when a VPN is running on the server. I read that this should be possible given the relay, that the relay would just reduce quality for free, but my phone app can’t see my server, let alone play from it, given this.
Details: Running latest PMS on latest macOS behind ExpressVPN (the VPN is running for other purposes that are important to me).
I have IPv6 support disabled
Secure Connections Preferred
Enable Relay checked
Manual Port, and forward, in place

Have you tried using split tunnelling instead of routing your plex traffic through express VPN

https://www.expressvpn.com/features/split-tunneling

this will allow plex to bypass the VPN you do not need to use plex relay

Yea, I read about it: “(Split tunneling is not available for macOS 11 and above.)” Sadly, never got to try it…

If it helps, I’ve been trying to add a connection (Advanced <IP) on my phone app. It’s not connecting and giving error -1001.
