Remote access works on browser but not in Plex client for Windows

I have given my brother access to my library on my WD EX2 NAS. The Plex server says remote access is granted but when he uses the Plex client on his PC he gets a ‘playback error’ message. The same with the app on his smart TV. If he opens a web browser on his TV everything works fine. I’m new to Plex and confused…
