Remote Access

I have always had success with Remote Access when I am away from home. Recently something has changed though. I can enable remote access with no problem, but it kicks me off soon after and I have to disable and enable again. It keeps doing this. I am running my server off of my IMAC and I have an ASUS router where port forwarding is enabled. Is there some type of update that was done that might be causing this? Any help would be appreciated.

Does this mean you have created a port forwarding in the configuration menu of your router?
If you did, have you informed Plex that you did it?
(Settings - Server - Remote Access - ‘Manually specify public port’ must have a checkmark and the external port number of your port forwarding behind it.)

Ditto. Here. I’ve been using Plex and remote access for several years without issues. Sometime this week, thinks have gone wonkie with remote access. “Pre-yes,” I have all the proper settings in my router/etc. Like I said, it has been working fine for years. I’ve tried to change a few things (e.g. to see if there’s something different with my ISP blocking ports, or something like that?) But, the issue remains. Issue: Remote Access just goes offline semi-randomly. You can disable/enable to bring it back online. But, it will drop back to “not available outside your network” after a minute or two.
Looks like there was a semi-recent update this week. I’m assuming there’s a bug/issue? I’ve seen other posts within the forum that have titles like “new update is junk” or whatever (reporting the same issue.)
Holding my breath… assuming a patched version will be released soon…

My router was already set up. Like I said, it was working since I originally set it up. Recently it has started acting up. I have tried everything. Before all I had to do was turn on Port Forwarding in my router and that was it. Now I have reset everything, but it doesn’t seem to work.
