Remote Access

I’ve been having an issue all of a sudden in the last couple of weeks where my remote access is ‘indirect and as such I can only access media at 382p.

It simultaneous is claiming it is ‘not available outside your network’ in spite me being able to stream at 382p.

I’ve been through all the troubleshooting guides and have uninstalled and reinstalled the player on my computer. Anybody got some kind of fix that I am missing?

What’s the results of dealing with the troubleshooting(as in the actual output, not the outcome)?
Are you using a manual port forward and were you able to confirm it’s still working (e.g. using a service like canyouseeme.org)?
Does the public IP recognized by said service match that listed in your Plex Media Server‘s remote access settings and the WAN IP of your router?

My router supports both uPnP and NAT-PMP.
I run Kaspersky and disabling that made no difference.
Port forwarding has been set up according to the instructions in that article. It has been checked with ‘canyouseeme.org’ to confirm that there is no double NAT issue but it seems that 32400 port is closed so seems like that might be the issue.

In that case, your best best options are:

  1. Test a different public port, e.g. going for something more random in the range from 20000 to 50000. Some ISPs are known to block just the default Plex port
  2. Talk to your ISP

FYI, the stream is using Plex Relay. The stream is tunneled through servers at Plex and limited to 2 Mbps. Configured in Settings → Network.

No dice so far but I will keep playing. Thanks for the help.

Ah, got it. Thanks for clearing that up.
