I know the subject line is not informative so I will try.
First, I want to say, everything worked fine until I rebuilt my machine.
Current issue:
If I am on my network, I can play live tv and movies via Plex with no issues. Even my cell phone connected to wifi is fine. When I disconnect from wifi and let AT&T network connect, I cannot get live TV to go higher than the lowest 720p option. This is not an AT&T issue because two of my friends use my live tv as well and this is how I found out about the issue. One hit me up saying that he used to be able to hit my live tv at 1080p 20mb which is the highest setting and now he barely get 720p to work. I talked to my other friend (who barely uses it) and he confirmed the same thing.
What has changed:
Of course, things work great and one day they do not, and people say… nothing changed… well on my side, things did. I originally had 3x 128gb ssd in stripe running windows 10 and my plex storage was a separate server. Got tired of issues with the storage machine and electric company upped rates 300-400% (investigation going on by government)… so I put a single 500gb ssd in, reinstalled windows 10, put 2x10tb drives and got all my content local to that machine. Hardware wise, that is all that has changed. Live TV does not use the drives, etc… so that isnt the issue.
My original machine ran a ramdrive R: and I have reintroduced that, so I do not know what to even check to try and figure this out.
now I just checked via a browser from work laptop (shhhh) and everything is running great…
plex app on work wifi working but caching every couple of seconds… turned wifi off and constant caching… unwatchable…
thoughts?
