Remote Live TV Buffering, Other Videos Fine on Fire TV

Server Version#: 1.25.0.5246
Player Version#: 8.25.1.28703 (7bcafd43)

As the title says, I’m having problems playing Live TV remotely on a Amazon Fire Stick 4k. The Live TV channel repeatedly pauses and buffers. However, movies and other videos from the same remote server play fine.

If I drop the streaming quality to 1.5Mpbs or below, Live TV plays smoothly. But I hate to leave the default streaming quality that low, because I’ve found that I lose surround sound when the quality is set below 4Mbps.

I see the same issue with a 2nd Generation Fire TV Stick (the one that preceded the 4k version). But using the built-in Plex App on a Vizio Smart TV at the same location plays the same remote Live TV channels fine, at 4Mbps and above. So it appears to be more of an issue with the Fire TV Plex App, rather than a bandwidth issue.

Any suggestions? Is there a way to set a different, lower default bitrate for Live TV than Movies? (Since movies play fine at higher bitrates and they’re more likely to have surround sound that I don’t want to lose than TV channels).
