Remove duplicate entries

I have a series for which I had poor quality files at first, a while back I replaced these files with ones that have a better quality and a slightly different filename (I just deleted the old files), but now (even after running a library scan, analyze, refresh metadata and empty trash) my Plex still shows the “number 2 button” in the thumbnail and the “UNAVAILABLE” button underneath it.
How do I get rid of this?

Anyone know how to fix this?

empty the trash for that library.( i see that you did that), but that should be the solution.

I tried that, but it doesn’t work.
Any other way I can fix this?

Have you tried restarting PMS?

This is a known bug to be addressed in a future release. I have the same issue… I created a collection and spelled it wrong, can’t delete the empty folder.

Yes I did, didn’t help.

Edit this library,
go to the ‘Add Folders’ tab
verify that all paths shown in there are

  • still existing
  • accessible for the server (permissions?)
  • not completely empty

If you find any folder which doesn’t fit the above, either correct the issue or remove it from the library. Then scan library + empty trash again.

If that doesn’t help, you could also switch to the new tv show agent. (only recommended if you are not using the opensubtitles.org agent to automatically download subtitles for all the episodes) Migrating a TV library to use the new Plex TV Series Agent/Scanner | Plex Support

Thanks Otto! That did the trick, there was one location I deleted from my NAS but which was still in the Add Folders list. I removed it, then emptied out the trash, and now the problem is solved.

Thanks a lot!
