How do I remove an old server that is no longer online? I removed it from the authorized devices list, but it still shows up my friends as having access in the Manage Library Access tab and it shows up on their devices (albeit offline).
Are you referring to the MacBook Pro server ?
While it shouldn’t be showing up in “manage access”, I would double check there and confirm you remove it for each person.
I am not seeing any shared users on the Macbook server.
If need be, I will hard-delete it from Plex.tv
After that, Everyone needs to cold-restart their players (reload from plex.tv)
I’m referring to a server I called “Rick’s Samsung” that was built off a samsung laptop. Currently I am on a Synology DS920 called “Rick’s Synology”. I’m not sure what the macbook pro server is? I might have messed around years ago on my macbook.
There is no Samsung server in Plex. Plex runs on Windows, Linux, MacOS, NAS platforms, Nvidia Shield Pro and a few routers (OLD).
If you purchased a Samsung laptop, did it have Windows installed or Linux installed?
The only Windows device I see on your account is ‘DESKTOP-C5P2H4M’
Does this ring a bell?
Ah ok yes, it was on Windows 10 and desktop c5p2h4m does kind of sound familiar. So long as it is not deleting my Synology server its fine to delete the desktop c5 one
I can remove just that unused (2 years unused) Macbook server.
The Windows laptop (running Tautulli) with client, not an active server. access is ‘DESKTOP-C5P2H4M’
Per Plex.tv:
UPDATED 1 DAY AGO
LAST SEEN 1 DAY AGO
This right?
Is this what you’re trying to remove access from ?
Would Tautulli cause it to be updated and last seen 1 day ago? I haven’t opened the server in probably 6 months but I think Tautulli tries to connect everytime I open the Samsung laptop (for other purposes)?
Do you not see a third server? Macbook, Windows, and either Linux/DSM?
Tautulli would do it. It likes to stay updated
There are no other servers on your account.
I did just remove the 2 year old (dead) Macbook Pro server
Your DS920+ (DSM 7) is the only server listed on your account now.
Ah ok, thanks for the help
Any time!
@ChuckPa - I have the exact same issue on my sub accounts; a little more convoluted as the server is named the exact same. It was a previous build of a QNAP NAS. The old server does not show on my primary/Admin account, but does show on the Kids/managed sub-users of my account, and I don’t see a way to clear it for them.
I’ve removed the older QNAP server from your account.
See if it’s vanished from your kid’s accounts. You may have to restart their client apps or at least “Switch User” back and forth.
Yep @OttoKerner - perfect! I appreciate you
