I recently replaced all episodes in my Smallville series with higher quality ones (several weeks ago) and now all of the episode art is different (doesn’t match TVDB). I haven’t changed any of the agents and I tried unmatch/match and refresh metadata (unmatched, changed series title to tvdb-72218, rematch), but the art isn’t going back to what it was. I used to be able to know an episode by the art, but now it’s all different. What else can I do to fix it?
If not then I’d guess your new media has embedded artwork in the the files themselves. You can scrub the files or disable prefer local metadata in the advanced settings of the library.
It looks like it does match your link, although that’s different than what it was and different than TVDB.
After your suggestion I went into the library settings and saw that it was using the Plex agent instead of TVDB (appears the Plex version is the “upgraded” one). I changed it, refreshed the metadata, and now it’s using the art I’m familiar with.
