Repost: iPad Video does not display

When playing all videos on the iPad, a black screen is displayed with the sound playing.

To address this problem that affects all videos (excepting newly imported videos), the user must access the “Quality” submenu in the video settings menu and “reselect” the "Quality setting”. The video will then display correctly.

I have attempted to attach a video link (a Dropbox link) to illustrate the problem, but encountered significant problems in actually viewing or accessing that video from within Plex forums. If anyone can provide a method to allow the viewing of the video, please let me know.

Correction: it affects all videos even newly imported videos.
