Looks like a recent update broke the main menu. On left side I only have HOME, TV Shows, Playlists and MORE.
When on HOME content, i.e., selector on items like CONTINUE WATCHING, ON DECK, RECENTLY ADDED TV, etc
move left to the main menu
navigate down to TV Shows
move back up to HOME
try to move right to content. This is where it stops working, i.e., can’t get to content. I have to move back down to TV Shows (sometimes have to even go right, then back left) and back up to HOME to be able to access content again.
Another issue to last bullet above is sometimes the yellow highlight on HOME completely disappears and I can’t get to anything. I have to exit the app completely and come back in. The above steps should show the issue AFTER you play back a title.
Please tell me if you need any other information. Keep in mind this was working fine and with no issues as of a few days ago so it was a recent update that broke this.
[EDIT] Something of note, I checked my Samsung Smart TV app and it works fine there, however, there IS a difference in behavior. When I move the left side menu it does NOT automatically load the right side content area so I have to hit Enter/OK to load it. On the Roku app, the right content loads automatically when I navigate the left side menu.

Thanks for the tip. I tried the uninstall/reboot/reinstall with no luck. It’s actually worse now in that the part I explained where the menu highlight disappears and I can’t do anything and forced to go to the Roku home and reenter Plex happens more frequently.
Makes no sense to me but it’s happening. Hope someone can reproduce so they can fix it. sigh
I am having trouble replicating this issue. There may be something we are missing though. Is there any way you can take a video of the the issue, so we can attempt to replicate the issue the exact same way. Free free to send me the video if you’d prefer to keep it private.
I’m having the same problem and can replicate exactly as described without even playing anything. If I am in the left hand side menu and arrow down to past home to say Movies or TV Shows then right arrow or enter into the category then select an item to read its description if I then left arrow back to the side menu and go either up or down twice every thing locks up if I am heading up when this happens HOME grays out like a disconnect has occurred. If I’m arrow it down what ever category I land on suddenly pops up with my servers name under the category (ie Movies then underneath the server name) and all navigation ceases until I hit the home button to exit Plex player and have to go back in. I have this problem on both my Roku Ultra and my Roku 3in release 6.4 build 14 and on the Roku ultra in The latest preview build 6.4 build 15
Thank for the additional info. I have been able to reproduce this. Looks like the key is going back to the sidebar from a preplay screen. I cannot replicate by pressing back a few times to get to the sidebar (a workaround until I can get a fix out).
I pushed a hotfix up to the preview channel just now. Please install the Plex preview channel , or if it’s already installed, check for an update on the Roku.
We’ll continue to test and verify the fix, but please let me know if you run into any other focus issues after this change. Thanks again for the report and info all!
