Roku Plex app hangs at 33% when ffw or rewind or skipping ahead or behind

Player Version#: latest available Roku Plex app version plus tried with the Roku Plex Preview app as well.

when ever I fast fwd or rewind and hit play , hangs at 33%! i have to exit out of the movie back to the plex menu then hit resume and then it loads. very annoying this seems to have started happening in the past month or so.
