I did try already but I don’t think I can access it because it isn’t user accessible storage. I’ll have another look.
Try /storage/emulated/0/Android/ Plex folder >8GB could be in there.
You might have to root though.
Thanks I think that’s spectacularly out of my comfort and ability zone though.
Do you have any idea of the feasibility of moving the PMS system app to adopted storage in developer mode? I tried it but it failed. Should I keep trying or is it just a no no?
Rooting isn’t crazy hard or anything. Search and follow one of the guides at XDA.
I’m not sure why you want to move to adopted storage? Can you explain? If it’s to preserve your existing metadata while wiping out the 8GB, I would just follow Plex’s backup and restore guide for the Shield. So a) backup b) clear data c) restore. Here’s good thread on what to do: https://forums.plex.tv/t/transferring-library-to-new-nvidia-shield-android-tv-pro/
Ok I’ll have another look at rooting.
I’m just clutching at straws really. I have lots of space in adopted storage and the data is meant to be there already, as is the app. So moving the PMS seems like a good solution too and then it doesn’t matter how big it gets.
I tried following that guide when I upgraded from a 2017 to 2019 shield and it went badly. I just didn’t find it easy to follow and I ended up having to set the whole Plex server up again from scratch and that was only a few weeks ago but took an absolute age.
I’m a pretty novice user here, there always seems to be a lot of manual and tricky stuff and debugging.
