S1001 error on all media

Hi, I’ve had a problem with this going back 4 months now. I’ve tried all of the recommended troubleshooting I can find, and nothing’s worked. Literally overnight every piece of media in my library showed an “s1001” error, across both the Android app and via Plex in the browser. It’s been borked ever since.

My set up is PMS on an Nvidia Shield, connecting to an external library on a Synology NAS. Worked OK for several years until 4 months ago, now unusable.

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the server multiple times, and I can access all of the media via eg VLC or similar, and it’s hardwired into my home network.

Just about ready to give up on Plex at this point, but thought I should reach out here for help from more experienced, knowledgeable Plex users!

Any further ideas appreciated. Plex is great when it works…
