Hello, I got a weird issue. some pf my movies are detected twice. On t he poster there is a 2 on top left. In the movie folder, there is only one file and when I look to info, this is the same exact file being found twice.
I try moving this movie elsewhere, let Plex time to remove it from library, then moving it back without success. I also launch a manuel library scan without success.
This happen only with movies library.
I uploaded a screenshot of the info page.
Perhaps I had the same problem. I keep all movie files in a single folder that Plex is pointed to. When a new movie is added, Plex automatically adds a COLLECTION with the same name. That triggers Plex to think there are 2 versions. If when adding a new movie you edit the TAGS tab and remove the COLLECTION and SAVE, this shouldn’t happen anymore. Good luck.
I have separate folders and plex don’t add collection automatically to the movies. It only dows it on a few movies. I think this is related to file name size. It happen only to movies with long titles (filenaming is fulltitle(year).quality.ext).
If I rename the movie with a shortest filename, it’s stop seeing as two parts. At this point I can ever put back the original name and it won’t be detected as two movies… Yeah i know, this is weird… I suspect a nasty bug in the code but I am too lazy to looks at the logs, extract it, fo a bug report…
