Samsung QLED Q60 2019 Plex app no longer functioning

Currently, when I click on the Plex app, it is either just a black screen with the Plex logo at the top and an ellipses (three dots) in the center or it says "cannot connect to blairg23, retry or cancel. Both options lead to that black screen again with the Plex logo at the top, nothing in the middle, but in the upper right, there is a power logo that is greyed out and unclickable. It makes a sound when you click on it, but nothing works besides clicking “back” on the remote control and exiting Plex.

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, which worked! Once. Then it stopped working again. I don’t want to uninstall/reinstall everytime I watch TV in my living room (it works perfectly on the Samsung TV in my bedroom), but this appears to be the only fix I’ve found.

Server Version#: 1.18.2.2058 (claims to be up-to-date)
Player Version#: 4.15.2 (claims to be the latest)

I have the exact same problem. On Dec 9th the Plex app updated to ver. 4.15.2 and has not work since. Server Version 1.18.3.2156.

The solution is to remove your pin (or add a guest user). Very stupid, but it works.
