Samsung smart tv model UE55KU6075 low quality for remote users

problem have been here for many versjons of servers
The loss in resulution are like it cant be understood its just big pixels blurred

When you write „for extern users“… do you mean your Samsung is having a poor resolution if you play content from a server that is outside your home network (via remote access)?

Yes its the remote users that get the bad resolution . i have seen it inside my network once but then just in a few seconds then normal pix

Well… standard items to check are:

  • do you experience this behavior with all remote playback?
  • what‘s the (video) quality settings those users applied in their client for remote/internet streaming?
  • did you set any restrictions for remote playback (e.g. Limit remote stream bitrate in the server‘s Remote Access settings)?
  • is your internet upload fast enough to stream the given video (upload bandwidth vs. avg/max video bitrate)?

internet is 300mb/s fiber
…when this started i was told to set remote accsess to 4mb/s 720 but i have tested all up to maximum and same problem
I have asked all to set it to orginal on all lokal extern and internet qual
some have the problem some not

I start wonder if i can be somthing in the (server pc) the server was migrated to new pc/ server and after that this started

If it’s an on/off behavior (some users have the issue, others don’t), this implies it could be an issue on the user side. Are you sure those users followed your instruction to set remote/internet streaming to maximum (I cannot double-check this on a Samsung TV but within other clients, that’s a separate setting from home streaming quality).

Alternatively… can you double-check your server’s remote access settings?

  • what’s the internet upload speed you have set?
  • what is the Limit remote stream bitrate option selected?

internet upload same as download 300mbit/sec
Limit remote stream bitrate set to 4mbit/sec 720p for the moment i have tested all settings up to maximum on server

I take it, you have set it to the same as your actual upload (just pointing this out, as the upload speed doesn’t usually match the download speed – exceptions usually apply for fiber connections)… trying to make sure we’re on the same page and there’s no confusion :wink:

If your server isn’t strong enough to deal with (too much) transcoding you should attempt to avoid that by allowing clients to stream without restrictions (Original (No limit)).

Thanks for your help ill go trough this settings and hopfully ill find the problem
