Samsung TV not playing videos anymore

Server Version#: 1.23.2.4656 (latest for WD PR4100; reinstalled to reproduce the issue)
Player Version#: 5.17.0 (latest for my TV; Platform version 4)

Reproduction steps:

  1. Play any video on plex (over local network) on the TV and it fails with “An unexpected playback problem occurred”.
  2. Do the same thing on any other client (mobile, browser) and it works fine

Debug, Info, Warning and error logs (if you read this, thank you so much!)
Cannot paste it inline because it is too big. I am attaching the logs
plex-debug.log (98.4 KB)

The issue started about a week back. I had updated the server around that time but the timeline is a bit fuzzy for me. The log [Transcode] [FFMPEG] - libva: /mnt/HD/HD_a2/Nas_Prog/plexmediaserver/binaries/lib/dri/iHD_drv_video.so init failed seems significant but other than a bug being introduced in that driver for Intel HD (which powers my WD PR4100), I can’t think of any reason why this would be corrupt. Reinstalling the application did not fix it.

Can a contributor to the source see if there were any changes around this driver? (If I can access the source myself and trace this, please let me know, I’ll be glad to help!)

Update 1: The logs didn’t resemble the certificate issue some users had. I refreshed the certificates anyway and as expected, it did not help.

I believe if you move that file somewhere else, Plex will download a new one. Give it a try

Found that I can send client side logs to the server too. Here are the server + client side logs.

Reminder, this works on the browser, chromecast and android.

Thanks for your response. I just tried it out. The driver file does not get regenerated. :frowning:
