Hi there in new to plex, I have tried the insecure connection guide and the quality playback and still no luck, can anyone help me out please it works on one of two of tvs in the house as well but all other Samsungs are the same
Make sure the app is completely up to date and barring that it may still not work. I don’t really know what is going on but it seems a large number of older TV’s are having difficulty working with Plex even with the workaround. I suspect it is because the apps are no longer being supported for those platforms as far as I know. Honestly your best path forward is to upgrade to some sort of little streaming device. I have had a great time with my Chromecast with Google TV, and Nvidia Shield Pro (2019), don’t get a Shield Tube though as it has a bunch of issues.
Plex seems dead in the water now, only get media not supported error message, even with a video I played two weeks ago, suddenly nothing will play . Have recent update. May have to go back to playing from memory stick .
Plex is definitely not dead. The service is still spectacular. What is dead is support from the manufacturers of a lot of these TV’s. I really think you should give a little streaming device a try. The Chromecast with Google TV is a phenomenal client for just $50. I have also heard mostly good things about the Firesticks that go on sale all the time for like $25.
Maybe I will have to try that, doesn’t work through my ps5 either though so doesn’t give me much hope
If it won’t work on your PS5 then something is absolutely wrong. Can you please post server version, and server logs?
