The app installs fine. However, it can never find the server. I have Norton Antivirus and Windows 10 uses it as the firewall. I have gone so far as to allow any computer connecting to or from ports 32400, 1130, and 22517. I have also (in desperation) tried using the Smart TV web browser URL app.plex.tv and [MyLocalServerIP]:32400. The web browser can find the server, but it does not display properly enough to watch a movie or listen to a song. Everything else in the Samsun app for the Smart TV, such user interface (UI), works fine. But the server has never been found. I am sure I have not tried everything, so I hope there are some people on here that can give some insight with Samsung Smart TVs and/or Norton Antivirus.

Do you have other clients (andriod, ios, roku, pmp) that can connect to server?

Do you have a dns on your network, or just a router?

Thanks for the reply. I do have a Galaxy Note 8 and the Google Play Plex app that has been able to watch it in another city without any modifications to my firewall. I can it on 2 MacBooks (Air and Pro) that can easily watch videos at full quality if I got through the [ServerIP]:32400. I don’t know if iPhones or MacBooks has a Plex app, but I am sure it would work. We do have 2 other iPhones but those users are “Apple people” and do not want to even try to see if it would work. If that was offensive to anyone, please forgive me. It was just a stupid joke, but they do not want to download any apps.

tldr; Windows 10, MacBooks (Air and Pro) work through the browser. Google Play store on Android 9 has an app that works fine without modification to the firewall.

Are you sure you are logged into the app using the same Plex account? Maybe try signing out and back in just to be sure.

Yes I have, unfortunately. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app requires me to sign in again and link my account using app.plex.com/link (I think is it URL).

The app cannot find your server by searching the network, it needs to be told, which is done when you sign into your account. It’s possible your server isn’t providing this information properly for the TV. There is an option in the app to manually specify your server’s IP address. Try and see if that works.

First, it said the server was already in the list. So, I deleted the only server in my list. I added it back and it still does not say the server is online (red circle with a black X)

What do you mean you deleted it? You can’t delete a server from the app.
