Saturday night live dvr recording problems

Hello I just recently started recording SNL, and the dvr is recording shows in TWO different formats but putting them on the same episode number.

Here is what the guide looks like

I see that the EPG is showing different metadata info for the 2 different episodes, (date format and s##/e##) however plex is putting them both under a single episode

This is the xml from last nights episodes (10/6/2018).

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

Yes, indeed. This is/was an old problem that went away last spring and returned yesterday. See this thread:

While similar, or probably even related, that is not quite the same thing.

For me, both of the shows recorded.

They were simply lumped together under the same episode, like a duplicate file.

And there isn’t any way to split them, at least not without doing the plex dance (assuming that works).

Ah, sorry you said “putting them together in the same episode number” and I didn’t grok that you actually got both recorded. Yes, this is somehow related, but not exactly the same thing. If we could only get some feedback from Plex personnel.

Although, for both of our failures, I fear Plex people will just point to “bad guide data” as the problem and not try to fix the issue with any sort of priority.

I’m having a related problem. I haven’t been able to record a full episode yet this season, only an hour or so.

I thought I had part of the problem solved by narrowing the recording to only the new season episode time slot. But tonight for the third week in a row I have had only a partial recording (the last hour or so, not the first half hour).

I’ll follow the thread as it develops and see if anything happens. Thanks.
