I have read the posts about poor guide data, but I don’t know if my issue is related directly to that. I have a recurring scheduled recording for The Young and the Restless. This week, the recording schedule shows Plex will record on Tuesday and Friday, but not Wednesday and Thursday. However, the Guide shows that not only is the show airing on Wed and Thu, but it is scheduled to record (red dots). In the past, when this happened, the show did not indeed record.
I’m running PMS 1.18.5.2309 on Windows with a Silicon Dust tuner and an OTA antenna. I refreshed the guide with no luck.
Having the same issue here on Version 1.18.5.2309 with an HDHomeRun EXTEND and the same show ‘The Young and the Restless’. I have changed my guide data source to an .xmltv file pulled from Zap2it instead of the default Plex EGD source, and changing the setting to record ‘New an Repeat Airings’ has helped to gain a few more days of recordings scheduled, however I cannot get Plex to schedule any recordings for this show after 1/30/2020 no matter how hard I try, even setting recordings manually for each episode.
I am also thinking this may have something to do with episode numbering being incorrect in the guide data. The default Plex EGD data has the dates about three days in the future, and sometimes there is no episode number which I think causes this issue. The date and episode numbering is more accurate in the .xmltv file pulled from Zap2it, however still missing the episode numbers after 1/30/2020.
In my original post, I mentioned Plex was showing the the recording would happen Friday. I looked this morning and the scheduled recording disappeared. I deleted the recurring recording and tried to manually record just today’s episode. No luck. Plex just does not want to record it. Frustrating as hell.
One workaround that I’ve done successfully is to setup the next show afterwards (which is the news here) to record, and start 60 minutes before and end -59 minutes after
