Scrapper not working again?

Server Version#: latest
Player Version#: latest

I had a problem not long ago with new shows not tagging correct but it fixed and now it is happening again. It says errors are being made but the scraper that i use also go to thetvdb and names them correctly.

Hi, is this what you wanted?(File removed)

It’s in the library folder always has been. thanks though.

At Trumpy’s request, I’m stepping in to assist.

I’m reviewing the log files now.

As the engineer who put those warnings in the Plex share, those warnings have been part of the installation process since before this server was installed and configured.

@S.Kiddo

I’ve just completed looking through your logs.

I don’t find where the error messages you’ve posted exist.

Can you possibly recapture and include the entire ZIP so we can cross check all the files involved ? (snippets are ok to alert of an issue but never enough to resolve)

sure i even moved the files to a whole new permission granted folder on the nas. everything rescanned and the title still doesn’t show.(File removed)

What is the name of the series / episode please?
(even your file name(s) will help)

I am going to attempt to replicate your results.

Is this another instance of Anime being slow on TVDB?

folder I’m Standing on a Million Lives then S01 folder for season 1 , file is I’m Standing on a Million Lives - S01E06 - The Ancient Ruins of Hosszú Bányázait Alagút

right that episode is still showing as episode. I gave up on the one show and manually edited the title.

It’s not the agent.

There simply is no metadata text there to be had

This happens a lot with Anime. Someone must provide the metadata text.

I see, I found it odd the files being where I had them since day one and two space increases was the problem. How can I as a user contribute to the meta for new or more rare shows so people can scrape?

I would very much like you to move your files from the Plex share.
The biggest problem, which all those YouTube How-To’s don’t understand, is that a SINGLE MISTAKE will cripple Plex Media Server.

In DSM 7, if at all possible, I am going to remedy this problem (vulnerability) permanently.

The metadata (Library/Application Support, and tmp_transcoding) directories will be removed and locked away.

They have been before I replied to you in the first instance, they are in a nas folder called plex media files.

Thanks and, after going through the logs again, for reasons I can’t explain, it truncated what I found in the logs. It looks just like you had them in the Plex share.

I apologize for any confusion.

That’s fine, I was just wondering how to contribute to the meta information for shows and how to make them been seen not just for me but others adding the same show.

They have a mechanism up there somewhere. I’ve not had need to use it since the V3 UI was established.

@S.Kiddo FYI You can create a free TVDB account and add the metadata yourself. It will be put into a moderation queue, and if approved, you’ll see those results after ~24 hours or so.

Hello. I do have an account actually. I tried adding an obscure anime and it was removed some months ago. I never tried again after that. Had no idea that covered the meta part.

The reason it was removed is because they have very strict rules. I’d follow the rules exactly as they’re written to have the best chance of having your edits accepted

Here’s a starter link.

And rules specifically for Anime.

I see. Thank you for the information and links.
