Hi everyone, a few days ago I was away from home and I wanted to see some content that I uploaded to Plex via the NAS which is always on, but I can’t access my library, at home I can see everything without problems.
The NAS is a: ASUSTOR AS6208T
do i have to set something specific on plex or on the NAS?
There’s quite a number of players involved when it comes to remote access. The troubleshooting article can give you an idea of what might be blocking you from accessing your media while away from home.
If you want to dig a bit deeper (or some other places)… there’s another guide in the forum’s tips & tricks section:
Thanks guys i solved it by enabling UPnP voice from my router. I don’t know why it was disabled.
Could this affect that UPnP was disabled? to understand if that voice should be kept disabled or not
UPnP should only beed needed if you cant manually port forward. UPnP is basically automatic port forwarding. The odd thing I see you have “Specify a manual port” enabled so the server should not be asking the router for a port via UPnP.
There may be just some quirk with whatever brand/model router you have that makes it work
