Okay so I have confirmed the behavior on android, ios, and windows.
I marked this entire show as played, then marked it as unplayed, I’ve tried it a couple of times to see if it does anything different, but even though the entire show is marked unplayed, it seems to think s4e14 is s1e1.
Next, I removed the entire show from my library, scanned the library files, emptied the trash, cleaned bundles, then put the show back and scanned again and I’m getting the same result.
These?
during my last metadata issue, I turned on prefer local metadata. After your question I tried turning it off and doing the dance again, but it’s still the same.
If you’re using the Plex TV Series agent, the related configuration is only available in the Advanced tab of the library itself. The server-wide agent settings only apply to the legacy agents.
As a side note: from what I can find, TheTVDb no longer has a „basic“ DVD order (just an ordering named „DVD Volumes“, which will likely not be the same to Plex).
Agent is Plex TV Series. Should I change that?
I’m not seeing embedded metadata, just an option for local metadata. That box was checked when I started the troubleshooting, but I unchecked it for troubleshooting this and it didn’t change anything
Using the Plex TV Series agent is ok. It just means you can ignore the server-wide agent settings (Settings > [Server Name] > Agents).
Changing the Use local metadata option will only apply when you first scan a file. So simply disabling it won’t immediately change the metadata of your shows. You will need to refresh the episode metadata (you might need to perform the full Plex Dance procedure to avoid any collisions with previously loaded local metadata).
Before getting there… when you edit s04e14 ( ), does it show tgd correct date?
