Server Version#: Synology 2015xs
Player Version#: Chrome
When logging into Plex on Chrome, as the main user, it keeps looking for the server and does not seem to find it.
However, when logging with other users (my kids for instance), server is found and we can play Plex…
How to solve this?
Please help
Same problem…I am running my PMS on a Synoloigy DS718+ and it has been fine for over a year. Now all of a sudden I try to connect to it via the console and it tells me it is unavailable. The first issue happened 2 days ago, when it had to find the PMS via indirect means. Now it just does not find the PMS, and both the PMS and my PC are on the same internal network.
I just updated the PMS to 1.15.8.1163, thinking it might be that but no go. Its like it is treated the PMS as remote, when its not remote.
I looked at your Q16 and it still does not find the PMS. I am running a PMS on a DS718+. My PC, where I am typing this msg, and the PMS are on the subnet.
Another thing…it seems this is not just happening on Synology. There is a thread now opened about the Shield running into the same issue.
Curious why would we all have lost control of our PMS? Sounds like this is what ClaimPMS does?
I have the PMS running on my Synology NAS. Should I just uninstall the PMS, delete everything off the NAS and re-install?
I did the uninstall and re-install and have control of my PMS again. Unless there is a better way I would recommend to those in my situation. Everything comes back, as long as you use the same id/pswd.
Duplicate post. Closing this in favor of Right version for my Synology 2015XS.
