Server claim failing

Server Version#: 1.19.4.2902 on Synology DS218+
Player Version#: any

Hi,
After working seamlessly for months, today when I tried to access for server, it failed to load. Neither on the AppleTV app, nor from my browser. After trying restarting the Plex package on the NAS and even restarting the NAS completely multiple times, nothing. Still failing.

Then I decided to reinstall Plex from scratch on my NAS: deleted the package, deleted the shared folder and deleted the plex user. Re-install the Plex app from the Synology app centre. Server re-installed stuff: shared folder, user. I started the package.

But during setup, it was very slow and I had an error message about claiming the server right away. I continued the setup but once finished, same error on the home page. Can’t claim. In the settings, same error. I signed out and in again. Same. Nothing seems to work.

What have you been messing up with, guys ??? C’moooon !! I don’t do anything weird on my NAS. It’s dedicated to Plex, super stable environment… so what the heck??

Any solution please ?

NB: by the way, my server also detects an update available for my server but the manual link doesn’t go to the right download page (like usually) and goes to the main one. When I go to the Synology section, the updated version is NOT there… Just the one I currently have.

Appreciate some help. The weekend is here… I need my dear sweet Plex !!!

???
My server is inside my NAS which has internet and all… Why would the server on that same NAS have connection issue to plex.tv ? Server seems to have access just right as it checks the update fine…

I’ll reboot my router anyway, as suggested… I’ll update here when done.!

Sorry… Not working. Here is what I did.

  • Shutdown NAS
  • Shutdown Internet Router
  • Restarted Router (and waited for full service availability)
  • Restarted the NAS. (waited for DSM to be fully loaded)…

Same errors: Cant’ claim server, new update detected.

I really don’t believe it’s an internet issue. I have ONE network, NAS is on LAN, zero internet issues on my other devices, NAS has a proper connection (updates, package store, etc.) and even the Plex Server shows up the online channels you provide!!

So I guess the issue is somewhere else.
Suggestions please?

Looks like it did the trick!!!
After restarting the NAS and the Plex package, new Preferences file was created and now it’s working fine!

Thanks for the support! (that was quick  )
