Cannot claim server on Synology DSM 7

I recently was having what appeared to be connection issues with plex on my television. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling plex on the synology but now when I try to claim the server the button changes briefly to a spinning circle and then returns to normal with nothing having happened. Is there a way for me to correct this and reconnect my account?
