I’m having crash issues when I try to playback particular video files. It seems to be entire tv series or movies that cause the crashes. Playing locally on the machine running the server through the web client seems to error out every video I try to play, with some occasionally had crashing the server. Watching videos remotely on Android TV is working just fine for some videos, but will crash the server for others. Is the server crashing or just the Transcoder? Also can you give more details on the types of files?
Is it a particular combination of codecs i.e? Subtitles maybe?
If we can isolate the scenario maybe we can try to repo and hopefully fix it.
The first one I noticed it with is an H264 video w/ both AC3 and FLAC Audo depending on language selected, and ASS format subtitles.
Wow. Ok. So while I was rolling through my library trying to find examples of what would crash the server, I installed the update out of habit and it seems to have solved my problem. I don’t want to be premature, but as of this moment, it looks like everything is fixed. I’ll keep looking through my library for possible holdouts, but for now, thank you for your offer to help, even if it looks like it’s already been fixed.
