PLEASE HELP!!!

My server has been removed from my PLEX and I can not find a way to get it reconnected. I have reinstalled PLEX several times and it never gives me an option to connect my server or libraries back to it.

I guess you opted to sign-out all devices when changing your account’s password?
If so… don’t forget to reclaim your server – to do that you need to access it locally (=using its local IP address from within the same subnet).

I’ve tried. I can access the webhost on my Synology Server, but there’s no claim server button and the claim it app throws an error could not create ssl/tls secure channel

Yes I did sign out of all devices. How do I reclaim my server?

  1. open the bundled version of Plex Web
    • if you’re on the same machine, open http://127.0.0.1:32400/web in your browser
    • if you’re on a different machine in the same subnet, open http://[PMS IP address]:32400/web in your browser instead
    • if your server is on a different network or remote you could e.g. establish a SSH tunnel to get that local connection
  2. open Settings > [Server Name] > General
  3. click Sign In at the center of this settings page (next to the “this server is unclaimed…” message

I’m on a synology NAS with plex running the community build (not docker)

If I access plex through the standard IP, or open it from the NAS, or using the above method, going to
192.192.0.NAS-IP:32400/web/index.html#!/settings/web/generalI
don’t get a “sign in” or any mention of [server name]

Also tried the 3rd Party option using the claimpms.sh

Are you on the same subnet (own device ip also starting with 192.192.0.)?

If you are, there might be a disconnect between the sign-in information of your server and your account. You could take a look at this procedure, using the mentioned „hard reset“
