Server dont work

Hi,

i have a huge problem. I installed my new virtual Machine with Debian 11 and install Plex Media Server. So i openned my Browser, joined the Webgui with http://ip:32400 and wanted to add my Media Data.

My problem is, i cant see anything, i cant add libraries. Normally i can add my Media Files and Folder here in the Screen. But i only see “Your Media”. If i click on it, i can download the plex media server. But i already installed it…

What did i wrong?

Is the VM running in the same subnet from where you’re trying to access it?

No, its in another Subnet. Is this a Problem?

You can only complete the server setup from within the same subnet (or e.g. create a SSH tunnel to access the server “locally”). Once your server is linked to your Plex account you can access it from apps outside your home network (or beyond its local subnet); as a Plex Pass member you can also configure your server to recognize both subnets as local.
